| A Standard Inspection of a Leaking Pool Includes: |  leak detection and repair, detection, detection,swimming , swimming, leak repair | 
Inspect Equipment Pad:
Check the filter pump, motor, Gas heater Exchange, valves, and backwash line.
Skimmers:
Check the housings for cracks, bond between pool & skimmer, gaskets, PVC line pressure tested
Pipes:
Isolate and test each PVC pipe under pressure.
Stairs:
Inspect stairs, dye test the stair screws and gasket, check seal around return fittings.
Underwater Inspection - Vinyl Liner Pool:
Visually and tactually inspect the liner for leaks with Leak Track which will find, pinholes, tears, seam defects with electrcial current, check gaskets, faceplates and screws. Patch holes as they are found.
Underwater Inspection - Gunite Concrete Pool:
Visually inspect the surface of the pool for cracks and leaks. Check around each fitting for leaks. Check the bond between the skimmers and the pool as well as the entrances of the skimmers for seperation.
| | Lights:
Inspect the light conduit, ground fitting, rim seal, gaskets, screws, and the niche for cracks or corroded metal, incoming electrical conduit is dye tested also.
Hydrostatic Valves:
Dye test hydro valves, if avaliable
Main Drains:
Isolate and pressure test the main drain pipe, check sump for leaks, secure the main drain VGB safety cover.
As the leaks are found and confirmed with leak detection dye they are repaired with a variety of sealants and patches. All repair materials are designed to be applied and cure underwater. Swimming may resume immediately or very soon after the repairs are made. |

Most Vinyl Liner and Fiberglass Pools can be electronically inspected for leaks with the Leak Trac 2200. This is extremely helpful in finding tiny leaks not visible to the eye, or in turbid water conditions. (cannot be used in Gunite Pools) | | Pressure Testing Pipes & Use of Fisher XLT-30
Sonic Underground & Underwater Listening Devise
Pressure testing the piping and underground listening with the Fisher XLT-30 and underwater listening with Hydrophones are available. I can usually pinpoint the location of the underground leaking pipe allowing a quicker repair and minimal excavation to access the pipe. | | Vinyl Liner Pools With Over 10 Holes
Liner pools with over 10 holes will be charged extra based upon the excess time involved and materials used. Liners with over 20 holes, I will do the best I can to minimize loss and recommend liner replacement. | | Gunite / Concrete Pools With Extreme Cracking
Gunite pools with major long cracks will be charged extra based upon the time and materials used to make the repairs.
Pools with attached Spas or Vanishing Edge Catch Basins
Inspecting the spa or catch basin in addition to the main pool will be extra based upon the complexity and the time involved.
Underwater Photos of Damaged Areas
Underwater digital photos of damaged areas are available. This can be helpful for insurance or waranty claims.
